
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died on the 19th of January, 2008 in the US. She was an American film, television, theatre, and voice actress. Pleshette began her career in the theatre. She appeared in films in the late 1950s. Then, she became an actor with a lot of recognition in films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). From 1972 to 1978 Pleshette was a frequent guest on various television productions. She also was the character Emily Hartley, which earned numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer, and choreographer, who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
